Chapter 5 Introduction

In this chapter, you will build the back end needed for the chat app.

You’ll learn how to share code between the back end and front end, how to use the repository pattern to isolate the data layer, write server routes for specific HTTP methods, use dynamic routes, and send data to the backend.

You’ll also see how to use Nuxt’s built-in dev tools to test your server routes, and finally, you’ll build a server route to generate a title for a chat based on the first message of that chat.
